Most Christians want to manage money well but they've never learned how. Open Hands Finance is a small group course that teaches young adults basic money management and how to thrive on any income.

It All Started With Some Free Pizza…

When a poster went up on the Taylor University college campus advertising free pizza, free money, and something about investing, it got some attention from Brian and Rachel, who were newly-dating juniors at the school. Mostly because it meant they could sit really close to each other, and that pizza was enticing.

By the end of the class, they both opened a Roth IRA and started saving for retirement at ages 20 and 21. Oh, and they got married two years later. Cute.

The Most Lucrative Six Hours of College

Their accounts have doubled in value thanks to consistent saving and market returns, and could be worth almost $500K apiece by retirement because they started so young.

When they found out the course was discontinued, they started their own (Open Hands Finance) to give other students the same leg up given to them.

Beyond Financial Returns

Even more than the obvious savvy of saving early, they’ve both been challenged and convicted to help the next generation be generous financial stewards.

By packaging what the Bible says about money in a way that is useful and practical to students, their hope is to reach the new generation and teach them how God intended their money to be viewed and utilized.
